Barolo. Cask sample. Tasted blind. Just mid ruby with watery, orange rim. Reluctant, but concentrated cherry nose. Quite a bit of chewy tannin and high acidity on the finish with subdued fruit – but with real focus. The very long, aromatic length indicates there is more to come (Walter Speller).
