Albino Rocca Barbaresco Montersino DOCG 2014

The 2014 Barbaresco Montersino is a very pretty, nuanced wine, within the context of young Barbaresco that still need a bit of time to be at its best. Sweet red cherry, mint, white pepper and expressive floral notes all lift out of the glass. Bright and driven, with pointed tannins, the 2014 offers a good bit of energy, all in a very classic, mid-weight style. The Montersino is one of the lighter, more graceful and aromatically expressive wines in the range.

Vinous -- Antonio Galloni

Very pale crimson. Intensely perfumed. A spread of vegy flavours across the palate. Lots of acidity but good assertive fruit without anything too sweet. Very clean finish. Still lots of treacly chew (Jancis Robinson).
